  • Oh wow, how do I begin. I have been to two hostels in California and trust me when I say this one is amazing. I expected a little less, due to the popularity of location (Little Italy), but boy you are in for a treat. The room was great. I personally got a two bed private room and stayed with a friend. The bathrooms/showers were big and very clean. They kept the place very nice. Always smelled fresh. I was never fearful of my security. The main guy who works nights IS HILARIOUS and very COOL!

  • I was extremely delighted to find out that this hostel was in the middle of everything. Great value, awesome staff, and awesome views. This place is a must.

  • Well you get what you pay for here. Had to ask for most things like towels and toilet paper, but the staff were very friendly and happy to help out. The carpets in my room were very dirty (may need replacing?) It's a small place with a reasonably happy atmosphere.

  • Invest in bigger beds for the twin double bunk beds.

  • The overall experience is average for a hostel. The reasons for that low rating: The two bathrooms are not enough for all the people, but they are nicely made. There is no hot water if several people had a shower before. The room was not vacuumed before we moved in. The kitchen is not very clean and there are no kitchen towels. That should not be expected to be brought. Also, coffee cups were a rare thing. Positive points: clearly the location, friendliness, free WiFi, refrigerator in the room.

  • This hostel is nice and clean, EXCEPT you´re staying in 18bed dorm. This room is dark with tons of dust on the floor. Spent there 4 nights, nobody sweep the floor for AGES. Make sure you´re booking 6bed dorm or less, they´re very nice and clean. Aswell make sure, that you´ve change, they don´t accept credit cards. If you don´t like noisy landing planes, don´t stay there. It´s reallyyyy close to the airport.

  • I got a little annoyed with the owner treating me like he was my dad. They were not in tune with my online reservation. no big deal. Besides that, the place was very clean, the staff were genuine and warm. The building reminded me of a charmingly haunting old style New Orleans mansion or something. Very seductive and safe. I loved it! Lots of cool little nooks and crannys to chill out in. I HIGHLY reccomend RK hostel!!

  • The hostel is close to the trolley but a ride from anywhere. The guys running it were funny and helpful. The mixed dorm room is huge and open so there is tons of space although there is no security as in a locking door or lockers anywhere. The common areas are great with a huge deck and and netflicks and wifi. Would definately recomment for value for money.

  • Nice hostel, everything in good repair. Great location only about a mile from the airport although right off the end of a runway. Flights stopped at night, though. Freeway access only a block or so away. Many services just a block or two also. Staff were friendly and helpful. Needed cash to pay balance. Credit card was not accepted.

  • Ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen, sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Personal. Nicht weit vom Flughafen und fast im Stadtzentrum.

  • Using words like good or excellent doesn't really help clear things up. I spent four nights in a quiet well kept hostel room. There was an attached bathroom, and more than enough space to store all my swag after going to comic-con. The staff were very personable and made good conversation for a solitary traveller, as well as being quick with directions to all ammenities and points of interest in the area. Reasonably priced based on availability at the time. I'm going back there next year.

  • Great place to stay! In a safe and convenient location, felt completely secure walking around past midnight, only approximately a 5-10 minute walk to the trolley station, close to the airport, great management and staff. They are even putting in a hot tub next year outside! There's already an amazing view of the harbor, will be perfect with a hot tub. Definitely recommend this hostel to everybody.

  • The hostel was good but I couldnt believe that I am in America the internet was so bad and difficult to connect and they need to spend some money and upgrade their capacities as I wasting my time to connect to internet and the breakfast its next to nothing, also the worker I think James need to be careful with his comments about women and not to look so desprate
