Thank you Hugo!! I got a free upgrade into a single room while I booked for a 4-bed dorm. becuase I was the 1st guest after his holiday, GREAT!!! The owner, Hugo was really funny and helpful. He helped me a lot when I was in Barcelona. I did enjoy the 3 nights I stayed in Trauko Hostel. Heung Lai Sarina, from China ~ 4th Feb 2012

The person working the night I stayed was wonderful. It was difficult to find because I arrived after dark and did not see the address posted (I saw it clearly in the morning, I don'y know how I missed it) The food market next door told me where it was and I think they get asked a lot. The walls are very thin and the 11pm quiet time was not inforced, but it did quiet down after 1am. For Barcelona I thought that was good, I expected it to be noisey all night. tammie, from USA ~ 16th Nov 2011

i really enjoyed my stay in this apartment cum hostel. excelent value for the price. i appreciated a well-equipped kitchen, laid-back atmosphere and friendly staff. It is only 5-minute walk to el raval quarter, which i fould the most interesting central part of bcn. if back in bcn i would stay here again. Richard, from Czech Republic ~ 17th Nov 2011

The hostel is very quiet, but near the train stop. The hostel is nestled in a residence building, so sitting on the patio at night is not an option. The walls are also very thin and sound travels far inside. Francesca, from USA ~ 21st Nov 2011

Just next to metro exit and you don't have to walk. Also on the ground floor there is a supermarket, so you can cook and eat whatever you want. Takuya, from Japan ~ 29th Sep 2011

the communal kitchen was kept really clean, the common living room and terrace were spacious and cozy, the free access to Internet was available for 24hours, and lastly the staff was amazingly nice! The location was also not too far from La Rambla and Plaza Catalunya - about 10 to 15min by walking. Eunah, from South Korea ~ 24th Sep 2011

PROS- The owner, or the man who ran it, was really sweet and very helpful!! The hostel was really cool looking and had a nice outside terrace to hang out at. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. The hostel is right in front of the metro, which was really convenient for traveling. Just make sure you know the hours of the metro. CONS- when we went this past August, it was really HOT!!! So, our room did get hot, but we opened the windows, which had a good breeze, but our room was situated right nex Rhea Mae, from USA ~ 25th Aug 2011
