A well located hostel for the sights, but about a ten minute walk to the bars (no big deal). However the staff were brilliant and bent over backwards to make the stay pleasant and sort out any problems. Highly recommended! George, from England ~ 27th Oct 2009

The showers were less than reliable - one night no water in the girls bathroom, the next day no hot water. The staff wasn't hugely helpful and the luggage storage location isn't locked. The rooftop terrace is nice though and the dinner was good.
Dear Stephanie, Thanks for your comments they help us to improve. The water system relies on an electric pump that brings water to the tanks. Unfortunately Friday was a power outage for 4 hours in the city as a consequence the hostel did not have water. we apologize for any inconvenients. Red Hostel Staff

Lovely interior of old house, easy access from here to the centre of the 'new' city and buses to the beaches, bit of a walk to the old town. Comfy, lots of fresh air, most rooms have a small balcony. Very friendly and helpful staff. A bit short on loos and showers, but to be fair I never had to queue. Fantastic roof terrace, with bar. Two out of my three nights they were cooking on the parilla - asado one night, home made pizza the second. I'd recommend this place. Adrian, from England ~ 18th Feb 2009

All in all good hostel. I got a weird vibe from the staff and they didn't really give me a tour when I got there so I had no clue that we had access to the rooftop until the last day. Also it was just a place to drink and smoke, not really to party. Other then that all was good. The location was excellent.
