We enjoyed our stay at Residencia Alvaro very much. The price was low, the location wonderful, and the hostel pleasant. It is not the place if you want to meet people and have a social hostel experience, but it is perfect if you like privacy and feeling like you have your own apartment (with shared facilities) in Madrid. Fabulous family home, with all the comforts that you need. Super close to everything (walking distance to most), very clean rooms, comfortable beds, free WiFi, quite! A fantastic location in a charming building. The staff is friendly and welcoming and very informative. A quiet yet welcoming atmosphere for those looking for a restive home away from home. Not the place for meeting people or hanging out in a common area. However, we were not looking for that and so found it to be perfect. I would highly reccomed this hostel to anyone! This hostel is amazing, really one of the best hostel that i ever been!! at the beginning u arrive a little bit shy, because it's just a flat with some rooms, besides the owner doesn't speak english, so maybe u can be a little affraid, but don't worry!!!, really, they are really sweet, if u need something they are always up to help u, moreover, everything is extremely clean, and smealing good!! The hostel is in a perfect location with very nice staff and all the facilities needed. Rooms are very clean, bathrooms are acceptable. Kitchen allows to prepare own food.
