the actual place was hard to find due to construction in the building, but it wasn't impossible either. Once I got there, the place was very nice. The internet was not working when I got there, so that was annoying, but I imagine they got it fixed.

Very good location but our private room was not as expected : shower was out of order and the doublebed was hard to access (2-meter high !). Anyway, that was enough for a week-end in Madrid !

Central location, although a little difficult to find. Good kitchen to make use of if you wanted to. Free internet. 'Common' area quite small and not to hang out in for long period of time. Good for couples and solos not planning to spend loads of time at accommadation. Good location.

Very Clean hostel. Good that we can stay in a typical buildings in Madid like that Residencia Alvaro located in. Nice staff and and I just have some home feeling (welcoming) (with fringe, washing machine, kitchen). Happy that we can leave our luggage till very late time for our last day to travel in Madrid. We can use wi-fi or intenet with no problem. Little draw back is that the staff is not good at English. Luckily we have a bit survial Spanish for communication.

The room was ok, but i'm not sure if there was mould or something on the wall cos it smelled quite bad and the wall was covered with paper..

It was dissapointing because the building was a Building site dust everywhere. unfortunately we had to change bedrooms for the two night stay, the second night the bedroom window backed on to the area of work and thick dust and musty smell in room

The lady that runs the place is wonderful. She goes out of her way to make you feel as comfortable as possible. It is located in kind of a sketchy area and the construction makes it feel dirtier than it is. Because of the construction we were able to get a good room at reduced rates.
