- “ Traveled with 4 girls for 3 weeks and we all felt like this was an okay place to stay but if you are backpacking then it is not for you. It is very far from the check-in and we had to leave our bags there and take what we needed to the place we were actually staying at. They also have NO wi-fi! Not that we needed it to talk to people but we needed it for train info. Staff was very nice though! ”

- “ The bathroom was cleaned each day. The tv didn't work. The hostel room was not located at the address listed, but instead a 5-10 minute walk from the check in office. No staff/employees on site. No internet available. I was surprised by a mini fridge in our room. ”

- “ it was a pleasant enough stay. for some reason i hadn't worked out that the cost was €90 rather than the €45 i had anticipated for both of us. anyway, the hostel is an apartment in a larger house in a quiet side road very close to the station, nothing special and really not designed for you to stay in the room. i don't remember even a wardrobe being in there. the check-in office is in a different place from the hostel, i think that is important. ”

- “ You can't beat the location, it's directly across the canal from the train station. The staff are super nice, the rooms have a nice old feel to them, my only complaint is that the beds are moderately uncomfortable, but don't let that deter you. Also, there's no real kitchen, as far as I know, just a hot water heater and a fridge. This can make cheap food difficult. ”

- “ It's a bit far away from train station because the dorm I stayed in is different of the check-in desk. The check-in desk and the dorm is easy to find. The dorm is in kind of the center of Venice, so generally it's Okay. The mixed room I stayed in was really noisy as my roommates came back really late -- it's not the hostel's problem, but I suggest getting a smaller or private room. I wish there could be wifi connection.... Otherwise, it's clean and relatively cheap. :-) ”

- “ arriving at the residence address, I found with surprise that the accommodation was in another area of Venice, with which it had to leave there the suitcases and go to the place d stay with a little baggage, all that complicated the stay and had been previously reported. However, the care provided by the staff was excellent, and predisposed to solve this inconvenience. It is not a good place. ”

- “ One of our beds was broken, being on a slant and both had the springs sticking out. Very disappointed for the amount of money we paid. ”

- “ The trick with this hostel is that if you stay in a private room it's not where you check in. They have a couple of buildings around the city, they are really close to lots of other things, just not the train station, Venice isn't that big anyway. That being said the "apartment" had pretty good space, a nice view of a side canal, right next to a grocery store and a private fridge in the room. Beds were good and it was a nice place to stay. Owner was kind and helpful. No wifi in private room ”

- “ Very nice and helpful host at the check-in desk. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean, air conditioned, mini fridge, and a locker for each person. It's all you could want from a hostel. ”

- “ The rooms were very clean, but the staff were less than helpful. Not all rooms are at Sante Croce 555. Some are on Rio Terra Dei Pensieri (a 10-15 min walk). There are many steps involved in finding the street and getting into the building/room which takes 4 keys to get into. I tried to go over these steps a second time, and staff were impatient. For info on water bus and walking tours, staff circled the bus depot info booth on the map. Customer service NOWHERE to be found. Stay elsewhere. ”

- “ Location is excellent, there was an air conditioning in the room, secure cabinets + small kitchen area in the room where you cam microwave food and also refrigerator. Their only problem is MATTRESSES, they are just horrible: you will feel every single metal spring. My first day experience in Venice was spoiled. I barely slept 2 hours that night. However staff readily put couple blankets on top of the mattress to make it softer to sleep on after I asked them the next morning. After that it was OK ”
