I loved staying here. The people I met were great. It makes for a fun filled time. Ivan is the best and will take good care of your needs; all you have to do is ask. The location is great! Close to everything.

Ivan is awesome! He wants to make sure that you are having a good time and is very helpful. It's a very cozy hostel. There isn't any air conditioning so don't stay here in July and August (find air conditioning or you will suffer!), but for the price, I would recommend this place to anyone!

mad crazy fun summer nite at youth hostel rethymno - so many people and so many personalities - made so many friends and ivan is sooooo cool - wish it had been the first nite of my trip rather than my last

we checked in early, before the rooms had been cleaned. but when we returned that night the sheets were still STAINED and DIRTY! we pointed it out, but were told there were no more sheets and we would have to wait until morning. luckily blankets were free so we slept on them.... also there are no towel available, not even to rent. and washrooms are outside and far from the rooms. overall, unimpressed. i dont recommend it.

Ivan is pretty awesome, and the place is great for 9 euro. But having no airconditioning made it very hard to sleep unless you grabbed a bed outside and there was no security to speak of. Not thrilled with the cleanliness either, but all in all, you get what you pay for and for the price it is good.
I'll be back.
