Rooms were nice, some improvement could be performed for breakfast arrangements as it seemed that one person was not cabable of taking care of proper supply of clean glasses, cups etc. and same time trying to fill up bread, juice, cheese and other stuff. There was constantly something finished.

Kitchen was exellent, rooms were okay. Big plus was environmentally friendliness!

Excellent staff and the terrific breakfast included in the price, but the location is not 100% favourable. Still it can still be covered by walking from city center, so no problem with that after all.

Great place, but a bit of a hike from town -- which isn\'t popular after a night out. But...if you make it a proper night, you won\'t come home until 6 AM when the busses have started running again! Lots of people at the hostel, many opportunities to share stories and tips for things to see and do in Iceland and beyond, plus a great system for leaving and borrowing leftover food from other travellers.

Good: Friendly and helpful staff willing to help with bookings Clean and tidy throughout hostel Large social area inside and out Good kitchens but no oven 200m from very good hot pools Bus stop outside door for Flybus (to/from airport) and city bus City bus every 30 mins Stocked vending machines Plenty of hot water and beautiful drinking water Free Wi-fi Breakfast (continental) good but pricey Heaps of info on tours Organise car rental on site. It\'s relatively cheap too for Iceland Not so good: No events coordinator or organised events ie. nights out, quizzes etc No bar/restaurant and a long way from any 1/2 hr walk from city centre (so don\'t miss the 1/2 hourly bus if in a rush) Not really a \'youth\' hostel (lots of big groups of older - 50, 60yrs - travellers and even a group of 25 screaming 11 yr olds for 2 nights!!)

Overall, a great hostel. Really nice place, with great common areas and a nice outdoor patio. Its a bit far from the city center, but its manageable. Most tours from Reykjavik pick you up from your hostel or hotel anyways. The hostel offered a good breakfast and lots of activities. It was way more of a family crowd than I am used to at hostels, but that was not a problem. A good value hostel, just don't stay here if you expect to be in the middle of the city.

Clean and safe place with everything you need such as phones, internet, kitchen, laundry, food store close-by etc. Most of the staff was very nice and helpful. Appreciated the treatment and compensation I got when there was a misunderstanding with the time on the trip they had booked for me. Thanks! /Katrin
