comfy beds & friendly staff. Breakfast is almost packed away 1/2 an hour earlier than advertised. Have to back up the claims of stinky rooms (not enough ventilation?) but you adjust quickly :) Timothy, from Australia ~ 27th Oct 2009

Very clean, you have to pay for lockers. Beautiful area, next to a huge pool but away from the downtown/nightlife/restaurants. You can do laundry! Quick Wifi and computers. Big breakfast. But this is a huge hostel, takes away from the coziness of smaller hostel. JASON, from USA ~ 21st Jun 2009

Really far out in the middle of nowhere and bus services are not good. Full of families and old people. Staff wasnt that helpful. Apparently I had to book with linen on hostels.com and when I told them I didnt need it they said they would not refund me even if I didnt take the linen. Also, they say they have security lockers but they dont actually work. Also charge you for everything. Better value, cheaper, better location in city centre. Jason, from Canada ~ 19th Jun 2009

This hostel is fantastic! Its big, clean, friendly, the staff are amazing. They are so helpful, I must have asked 50 questions a day and they knew everything! Its a bit far from the city centre but you can get there with one bus so its not a big deal. And its close to the best restaurant in Reykjavik, Just Food! It was packed with 2 or 3 massive school groups. It ruined the usual Hostel International atmosphere for me, like being back at school, having to queue for ages for breakfast, not the usual mix you get from an HI hostel. The facilities are good though and one of the cleanest hostels Iv been to. Lots of great trips to do, all bookable from the reception and pick up at the hostel was really good too.
