You pay for the location, which is great compared to other places around. Although the hostel is not very concerned aboutcleanliness and appearance. The rooms are fine and you can make use of the kitchen (sometimes dirty). Staff is always helpful, friendly and speak perfect English (in contrast to most Russians). Finally the hallway and staircase are being renovated, which makes the entrance look a bit chaotic. But nevertheless we had a very good time staying at right on nevsky!
