Mandrem is my favourite resort but personally I preferred staying at the Dunes resort down the road. It was cheaper, cleaner, friendlier and more efficientstaff, and a much better restaurant

Not really a hostel as such but a collection of beach huts more orientated to couples, and expensive if travelling on your own. Reception was excellent, very helpful and faultless, but the restaurant staff always seemed permanantly sedated or half asleep.

river beach resort is not that bad even few things could be better. its located a little bit lonely but there is a bus stop in front of it and u can order an hotelTAXI but they are always overpriced. the restaurant and bar are poor even the menu is long we have just try a little bit indian food - but arambol has a lot of good spots to go out for drinks and dinner and to meet people - a walk along the beach to get thee is a nice thing to do in the evenning.

The service at restaurant was friendly enough, but abysmally slow. Otherwise, housekeeping and front desk were good. Food was pretty great for style of resort though.

Air conditioning didn't work and left after two days asking them to fix it!

We were a little concerned before we arrived due to conflicting information about the prices and accommodations, but once we got there we had a fabulous time.

overly expensive @3000.00 repee 55.00 euros a night for a prison cell.not that near the beach had to go out on the main (busy traffic) road to access the beach. room no 211 that had a view of the main road. noise all the time from nesting pigeon outside window and traffic, had to go tho the baach to sleep.would not recommend to my worst enemy.

Riva beach resort is a big bamboo hut village. As you can imagine a hut is not the same thing as hotel room in a concrete building (for example the temperature is the same inside hut and outside so it can get cold in the night). Lack of windows doesn't make relaxing in your hut very tempting. Staff is very friendly and the location is good near the shore. Price/ quality ratio isn't very good.
