This budget hotel in Kandy is quite simply a superb place to be based if you have any intention of seeing Sri Lanka properly. The guest house itself is clean, unpretentious and located just a 5 minute (free) taxi ride from the centre of Kandy. The staff and cook are world class. Rodney, the owner/manager is a brilliant tour manager and will construct an all inclusive tour of the island which can be tailored to suit your budget and diary. He has contacts all over Sri Lanka and fixed a tour for us which included an air conditioned mini bus, a safe and charming driver, all accommodation (including breakfast and dinner), entry fees to many interesting sites/activities (e.g. temples, elephant riding in Sigiriya, a safari in Yala National Park which is not to be missed...we saw leopards and elephants in the wild!). We had a wonderfully memorable holiday which was expertly organized at a very reasonable cost and was totally stress free. Highly recommended!

Great place to go and relax. The rooms are fairly basic, but have a great view from the balcony.

room wall were partitions and not sound proof, bathroom was unclean, water pressure was poor and the general layout very odd. food was average. my worst accomodation of my trip
