Very easy to get here from Kyoto Station. Tje staff is really helpful but they don't speak a word of english; which is kind of bad when you're asking for directions. Very near for the sighseeing places, bus and metro. They have a traditional bathroom and a nice small garden. The rooms are big and clean. It's a good and cheap option if you're going to be in Kyoto for several days. Paloma, from Spain ~ 12th Oct 2009

The couple that run this place is extrememly nice. They speak no English, so it is a challenge to communicate for directions if you need them. They are working on renovating the rooms a little, but this place is a little tired looking, and my robe that they gave me was pretty threadbare. There's no breakfast at this Ryokan. That said, the rooms ARE CLEAN and have A/C which is nice for the summer. It is also very well located and it's a block and a half to a good western style breakfast Jeff, from USA ~ 26th Jun 2009

We enjoyed very much our stay at Wajimaya, which provided us with a real experience of living like Japanese people. The family helped us in renting bikes and they were always at our disposition. Alain, from France ~ 24th Jun 2009

Only stay here if you would like the traditional japanese inn experience - don't expect to meet anyone here or have any kind of fun experience. Ryan, from Australia ~ 22nd Jun 2009

The location is excellent, very near the station, and the owners are very friendly, a shame they do not speak much English, but they try anyway to help.A very traditional authentic place. MARIA, from Spain ~ 7th Jan 2009
