The Safed Inn is definately a good place to stay when travelling around in the northern part of the country. We had a rental car so travelling was no problem, cant say anything about the bus availability there. The Hostel itself is very nice, several little houses are located in a garden/park area, pretty nice to sit out in the evenings and drink a beer or two ;) The managers are very friendly and have a lot of insider tips for you. We enjoyed our visit very much and will come again when in Johann-Christoph, from Germany ~ 8th Nov 2009

A little difficult to get to, and not really within walking distance of the old city. However we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and the facilities were very comfortable and clean. We would definately stay there again. Stephen, from Canada ~ 19th Aug 2009

The owners' friendliness, warmth and helpfulness in planning the northern leg of our trip was invaluable. In my six trips to Israel, I've never stayed anywhere where I've felt more relaxed and "at home." The Ruckenstein's go above and beyond the typical innkeeper. I highly recommend them as a "must stop" for people planning a trip to northern Israel. Robert, from USA ~ 3rd Aug 2009

This was my second stay at the Safed Inn and there is just simply not a better place to stay in all of Northern Israel! The location, on Mt. Canaan about 7-8 minutes from Safed city center means that while you do need a car or bus to get 'downtown', you are removed from the hustle & bustle (and price) of being in the middle of Safed. The location is ideal for exploring Safed, the surrounding tombs, the Kinnert/Galilee to the south and the Golan to the north; it’s the perfect home base. As f Joshua, from USA ~ 21st Sep 2009

Why not spend you entire stay in Israel at the Safed Inn and commute to everything else that may be of interest? After some 12 years of backpacking - this is has been the best place in every respect, by far! Seriously. Kevin, from Germany ~ 20th May 2009

Best hostel of the more thn 50 I have stayed at worldwide. Riki and Dov have it right. Both are extremely helpful. Other hostel owners need to visit this hostel and take notes. Clean rooms, clean kitchen, and free internet ... the best. I will come back to Israel simply to again see my new friends at Safed Inn. Highly recommend this as the very best base hostel for Galilee and Golan Heights areas...or just a place to be pampered. Karl, from USA ~ 4th Apr 2009
