The hostel staff could have had more information about tours in the region and were to sign up. As well, they forgot to pick me up at the bus station. But the location was nice and very clean.

I reserved a room 2 days in advance with Samay Wasi and when I arrived at 7am I did not expect my room to be ready. So, when the staff told me that my room was not ready I went to explore the city thinking that it would be ready in a few hours. When I returned at 2pm my room was still not clean and the man behind the desk looked like he hadn´t moved in hours. I was not happy to be kept waiting - cold, wet, and shivering - until 3pm when they put me in a room occupied by two men. The staff also failed to give me messages from my travel agency or my friends who I needed to met up with in Cusco. The only thing that I liked was the free Coca tea.

Great hostel - stayed here 3 times in between trips! Staff very helpful and friendly. Only downside was slow internet and lack of heating in rooms - but we gather its rare to find that anyway! Coca tea on tap 24hs is a great bonus!

VERY nice staff, great location (except for the stairs, but those don't hurt after the first day or so). Made my stay in Cuzco SO much more memorable (not to mention less confusing).
