terrible accommodations but friendly folk

Hi Erin, I wish you would elaborate on what you mean. Character - we are a 100 year old heritage building with tons of Character and color. Security - Camera's on all floors, lockers in room, 24 staff, and 3 pass code doors. Location - I agree best in town. Staff - thanks they are the best Fun - how do you not have fun at the largest hostel in Vancouver with a Bar and many daily activities? Cleanliness - we have 3 cleaning crews working 24 hours a day. Quite a good place to stay, esp. for the price. As a 30-something traveler, I didn't have much fun at the hostel (crowd was very young) but overall, I enjoyed my stay. Alnoor, from Canada ~ 11th Aug 2009

-"safe locker" in room was broken. -bathroom smelled -room smelled -bed creaked a lot

We didn't spend a lot of time in the hostel on this trip -checked in at night and were gone the next morning by 6:00. But we've gone to the pub downstairs at this hostel during a previous trip and that's what convinced us to stay there for this (short) visit to Vancouver. I'd stay there again for sure.
