- “ This was a nice hostel. It was safe, pretty clean, and the breakfast had a lot of variety. Maybe I visited at the wrong time of year but this hostel is not a good fit for people who do not want to party. You can hear loud music everywhere in the hostel. The WiFi is also pretty spotty. It barely works inside the dorm rooms. ”

- “ The SameSun Backpacker Lodge is perhaps the best hostels in Vancouver. The hostel offers FREE wifi, FREE breakfast (very good!), and FREE lockers. The rooms were great and the bathrooms are clean. The location is also excellent. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Vancouver. ”

- “ The atmosphere at this hostel is very good. It is easy to meet people because of the in-house bar and a large common area. It is the perfect place to discover Vancouver, since most tourist attractions are in walkable distance. ”

- “ To sum up: THE MOST unkept, filthy and dirty hostel I ever stayed. Only reasonably clean looking place being corridors. Worst kitchen ever with piles of dishes. Bed linen of grayish color... Common room badly in need for renovation. Breakfast you wouldn't believe to what extent is possible to dilute that "juice" bagels/toast with "healthy" cream cheese and butter spread and not too fresh fruits tasteless coffee. Stay away if possible, it's not even worth that money or it central downtown loca ”

- “ It was really fun. It had everything you would need. It was clean and had a great atmosphere. There is breakfast and the hostel has a pub right below. There is wifi and lockers in the room for your stuff. It's also located on granville which is the most central location you want in Vancouver. ”

- “ I had a spacious private room. However, it was never cleaned-only the trash emptied one of the three nights I stayed there. The staff at the reception were friendly and helpful. The bed I had was kind of lumpy. I slept on the floor the first night to save my back. The toilets should be kept in better condition, considering the number of people who use them at one time. Furthermore, the shower curtains all smell moldy and are in desperate need of being disinfected. Overall a good experience ”

- “ I don't utilize all of the facilities at hostels so I can't say much about the common area or kitchen. Rooms were small, bathrooms were tiny but worked. Great location and I'd stay here again but I have stayed at much better hostels. The other reviews are pretty accurate. ”

- “ Had such a good time here. Very social atmosphere and the staff was awesome. I cut my finger very badly and they patched me up 2 days in a row with their first aid kit and saved me an expensive trip to emergency care. I am coming back here, no doubt. Thanks very much to the staff at SameSun! ”

- “ Having to use the bus to get anywhere was inconvenient. Tied down to the bus schedule, even though buses were relatively frequent. Cost of transportation to and from town adds to total cost of the stay. ”

- “ I really enjoyed staying in the Samesun Hostel. The 6-dorm rooms a little small, but then again, I don't go to a hostel to sleep, so it didn't matter much. Friendly staff and good-value meals :) ”
