  • Awesome place but not close to anything (except Walmart) but in the middle of just about everything. Helpful staff and owner made my stay great.

  • Loved my stay here!! Super easy, low key, and very friendly staff! Not the Ritz Carleton but thats not what I was looking for-- fabulous for adventures in San Juan!

  • If you're looking for a good place to stay and meet up with other people to do things with, this is the place for you - very friendly atmosphere, boarders are nice, and many seemed to be going out with each other having just met at the hostel. Proprietor very helpful/friendly. Rooms were a bit rustic, but with new AC, so they have their priorities in order.Downside is that the area seems kind of dodgy, and it's not really near anything of interest, though access to public transit seemed good.

  • I split time between here and Posada San Francisco which is in Old San Juan. SJIH is definitely affordable and has many of the amenities you would want from a hostel. Francisco, the owner of the hostel, is fantastic and extremely helpful. He'll help you out with whatever problems or needs you may have. Most of my fellow Hostelers were very nice and sociable. Overall, I had a decent experience here.

  • Great atmosphere and people! A house in a quiet neighborhood, living room, nice porch, kitchen and two bathrooms, small bedrooms but they're for sleeping anyways. Helpful staff! Close to bus station, 15 min walk to the beach but not much happening in the area. Coffee and pancakes in the morning!

  • The hostel is in a nice neighborhood. The staff were all really helpful, although hard to find at times. It's a great place to meet fellow travelers! It can be a little loud in the evenings though if people go to sleep early, but they provide earplugs.

  • The staff at SJIntenational was one of the friendliest staff I have met at a hostel. People the say the hostel is in a "ghetto" location, which I deny. Yes, parking availability is inadequate which might lead to a little bit of inconvenience. Cleanliness can be improved. The people I stayed with were amazing and Yes, if I get a chance I'll go back again.

  • Francisco is the best he will take care of you! I met the MOST amazing people staying in San Juan International. His hostel is very much a community feeling and facilitates a lot of bonding amongst the guests. It's basically a house. It's so fun, and I have many great memories from it. The location is in Santurce, which is a bit difficult to maneuver if you want to be in Old San Juan, but there are EASY buses to take. They just don't run past like 9 or 10, so you have to get a taxi back.
