I was very unhappy with this hostel in Athens. There was absolutely nothing good about it. The place is very dirty and has nothing good going for it. I regret spending part of my vacation at the San Remo Hostel...

Leaves much to be desired.. Location was poor with no decent supermarkets or attractions near. Room felt like a prison cell.. no windows with one bright buzzing fluorescent light. Adequate, but not pleasant.

Close to the train station, but far from everything else (still walking distance though). Seemed to be doing some renovations and repainting while we were there in June, so the entire place smelled like paint. Some of the rooms on the first floor do not have windows, which made the smell worse. Showers and toilets are in the same room...they don't seem to believe in shower curtains for some reason... Oh yes, beware of cockroaches in the kitchen.

We spend 3 nights in this hostel, and we were fine with taht.it's not a luxury, but we could spend our money for different things. Our room[12] was tidy and we have an own bathroom!!, where we always had warm water[but havent got window]The stuff was very helpfull, and nice. The metro is very close to the lodgings, and next to the building u can find a great continentale breakfast too.

OK hostel. It's a few metro stops from Plaka, but it's an OK area.

You should really have a separate dorm for men and women. It is a little awkward to have mixed dorms, especially when you have to change your clothes and the bathroom is so small that you can't really do it there. I think having mixed dorms is just asking for other problems as well...
