What everybody else said: very helpfull and kind staff. Great location, clean, good food, good variation in drinks, somewhat pricy if you look around a bit, but with the prices of the beds, who's complaining? Maybe change the music a bit more often?

I have been living in China for about 4 years now and every time I go to Beijing I stay at this hostel.Location is great (right near subway and bar street), it's really clean, they have a great little cafe and are now building a beautiful deck, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. If you are going to Beijing stay at this hostel.

A wonderfull hostel. After being away for 5 months, coming back here truly felt like coming home. The atmosphere is great, the staff very friendly, the beds hard but actually very comfortable and the food and beer taste good (though the food can take some time to get there, once you know this you just take it into account when ordering so it isn't a real bother). Sitting in the lounge area at evenings with a beer and lots of different people to talk to who all feel the same way tops it off.

The Chinamen desperately need to learn how to make bathrooms. I'm not talking about the hole-in-the-ground variant that's all right, and we had western water closets in our rooms anyway. I'm talking about the bathroom itself. The door (balcony-type door, very original) was not waterproof, so water always leaked out of the bathroom when showering the floor was not slanted in any particular way, so the water had no inclination to actually run down the drain the lamp armature consisted of a bare

An old building located deep in one alley, making it very hard to find. Some restaurants nearby. Not a close walk to metro station. Small room with dirty walls(mosquito/bug blood stains). Weak Wi-fi signal on ground floor. No elevator.Semi-dark hallways and staircases. A bit overpriced for this shabby place. Will not return.
