Excellent location in South Beach, and above all, the staff are all very very friendly and helpful. The hostel is a mix of people living there and travelers, and it isn't a great looking place, but if you are easy-going and are ok with that then it's fine if you are a complicated person or want privacy, then look for another place. We stayed two nights and had no problems at all. Parking is cheaper by the art museum just two corners away. All in all, it was ok considering how much we paid. I don't know why this hostel has got such good remarks. It was terribly dirty, the staff was extremely unfriendly and you are not supposed to open your door if it is knocked on it because you might be robbed. It says that breakfast is included, but you get a maximum of two toast, jam and butter. Loud music starts early in the morning and stops late at night. Room was disgusting.. ants and mildew everywhere.. also don't stay there during the weekend if you want to sleep in the night as it's impossible in this place.. music from all the sides is so loud that you feel like you are in the club and not in the room.. Cheap but a very dirty hostel!! The security was really bad. The ones you share room with -nobody locks the room when leaving, not even the cleaner after his done his work (poorly)! Anyone could just get a key to a room to "pick something up" at the reception. Location was okej, close to the beach and a few blocks away from the city "core". I was in Santa Barbara almost 10 days. Hostel has very good location, about 4 min to ocean and not so far from clubs and every atractions. The conditions are not so bed, maybe room for 6 people is too small and there is no space for luggage. Nice and friendly people from all over the world! Magdalena, from Poland ~ 19th Sep 2011

Dirty hostel! There lives a Nazi air conditioning homelessguy in room 117 who decides everything in the room! The room is so small (100 sq. ft for 4 ppl), the bathroom is dirty as hell! Antfarm, spiders, cockroaches, mosquitoes, etc! I didn't liked this damn hostel! Try to avoid if you can! The only good thing is the location to the beach, Byt then again there are a lot of hostels in that area too. Only if I knew better! The gay guy patrick in front desk can't help u much neither!
