I was satisfied with my stay in Santiago Backpackers. Showers were clean, staff was friendly and helpful - we needed some information about the city and we received it. Next time if I am in Santiago, I will try to make reservation in Backpackers again. Sergey, from Russia ~ 30th Jan 2012

The hostel is in an older building with a lot character, high ceilings, and dark wood floors but this does mean the place was pretty cold throughout the day and night. (We stayed there in June.) Overall it was my favorite hostel we stayed in South America. The rooms are large and clean (no locks provided on locker but the room doors lock) and the kitchen is modern with plenty of pots and pans. Best hostel in Santiago!
