The place was a bit different from your average hostel. It is on the 10-12th floors of a high rise and as such there isn't a large social room as in other hosels. The rooms were very nice though and we even had a view of the ocean from ours. The staff is very helpful and I really can't complain about anything in particular. The beach REALLY is close and beautiful and Sanya really was paradise for a few dollars a day.

Sanya Eagle is one of the best hostels I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. It wasn't even the fabulous location, the spotless rooms, or the great security, but the owners who made it great. Their attention to the guests and their enjoyment made the trip to Sanya worth it in itself. I will definitely find myself there again, if not for the beaches...for Chef, Jane, and Fei Fei!!!

I will be staying here again the next time I visit Sanya (there will be one). Staff is friendly and super helpful, rooms are clean and the location is great.
All out great! Jane, Chef, and Jessy were the most helpful hostel keepers I've met and the location is amazing with only a 5 minute walk to the beach.
The owners, Jane and Chef, are two of the nicest people you`ll ever meet. Don`t be afraid to ask for anything! The rooms are big and comfortable, and the price is more than reasonable. This is a great place to stay!
Although I stayed only for 2 nights I hardly recommend this hostel to everybody! It was easy but clean, Jane & Chef and their interns were more than very friendly and they were always there when we needed them - no matter which time. The hostel itself is very near to the wonderful Dadong Bay (in my optinion much nicer than Yalong Bay) and close to the city center and the Bar Street (just 5 kuai by taxi). Whenever I will come back to Sanya I'm gonna stay in this hostel again!

The best part about this hostel is the people you meet here. This is the only hostel I have ever been to where you can just walk in the office and have a beer with the owner (Chef). He even made pizza for a group of us! If you are a single traveler, you will definitely make friends here and find someone to go to the beach with or visit other tourist places. Location of the hostel is also great. It is within walking distance from the Dadonghai beach and close to many restaurants (Rainbow was my favorite!). You can reach the hostel by bus (#8) from the airport for only 5RMB. I will definitely come back here!
We really enjoyed our stay. The staff, Jane, Chef, and others, were great. They speak English well for those who worry (Chef is really improving), and they can always help you with anything. The location is prime. It is close to the beach, a lot of Chinese and Western restaurants, and a lot of bus lines, too. As long as you are the outgoing type, you will have no problem making friends with the other guests. I will always recommend this place to friends.

Jane is a wonderfull woman who will do anything to make your stay more enjoyable. Only the lack of a social area where you can meet other backpackers lets this hostel down.
