The hostel did not have things what it advertised on the internet, for example surf boards, kitchen or a restaurant.

A number of timely repairs seem to be being made now eg broken bathroom windows. Staff do supply mosquito coils etc, but travellers should take care. The english-speaking staff are friendly and very helpful. This is a good choice for people fresh off the ferry/plane/new to Sanya and to get bearings re. town facilities, island trips etc. These guys need backing and we wish them the very best.

Staff were pleasant to talk to, however they were just plain lazy and seemed to have very little knowledge of the surrounding area e.g where is the nearest bank is. Rooms, toilets and showers were in need of a serious clean. We resorted to cleaning our own rooms and removing the dead cockroaches ourselves.

This was a good hostel in terms of price, location, and the staff was friendly. Be aware that there are only 4 showers for public use, one of which has no hot water, and the bathrooms left much to be desired. There was trash in almost every corner and anything left behind by previous travelers was never thrown away. In comparison to other hostels in the area (close to the beach), it was way better, but definitely room for improvement.

ALL SHOWERS SHOULD BE WORK'N AND THE ROOMS SHOULD BE COMPLETELY CLEANED ! THERE WAS STUFF UNDER THE BED AND ON TOP OF LOCKERS NOT CLAIMED . EITHER PUT IN A LOST AND FOUND OR THROW OUT . THIS WOULD MAKE IT TIDIER AND MORE SAFE HEALTH WISE ! * ENJOYED MY STAY AND WILL LIKELY STAY THERE AGAIN IN FUTURE .

Good place to meet fellow travelers. Not far from the beach etc. Bathrooms not great, but... Not the best in decoration or cleanliness, but it's made up for in other areas. I think maybe less pretentious than blue sky

Very pleasant hostel with friendly staff. We had a very nice room with a bathroom. The room and the bedding was clean but the bathroom was crusty; you would not want to wash a dog in it. We bought some cleaning products and scrubbed it, after that we were very happy to stay.
