I had never see so bad hostel, anything needs to pay money, including shower (in other hostels I lived, the hot water of shower should be free), some fees were unreasonable. Inconvenient traffic, long distance between the bedroom to toilet, it was very cold in midnight because the central heating was useless; the staff was impolite and unfriendly. I just lived in this hostel one night and then had to find other hostel although I had to pay three nights fees because I had booked three nights.

Really great value. Staff were really helpful and the place has lots of character (you have to experience drinking beers pulled from the glacier fed stream that runs through the hostel). Location is on the edge of town, but the town is so small that it's still excellent. There's a bar at the site, which can ead to a bit of loudness at nights for some rooms, but it closes at a respedctable hour, so isn't much of a concern.

Great Camping grounds - on the outer of town but closer to all the walks and falls. Free cooking facilities and very close to the major lauterbrunnen camp site. about 5minute walk from town or bus available.

There are no locks on the dorm door. Also, you had to pay to get hot water in the shower and the bar stinks (literally)

We booked a twenty bed dorm which turned out to be in a cabin with the best view of the mountains in the whole valley. Oh yeah and there were only the two of us so that was nice. If you get the cabin dorm definitely stay on the top floor. The staff can be ignorant to incompetent on occasion and will often refuse to do anything to help you if it would inconvenience them. Oh yeah and 50 cents for 3 minutes of hot water is a little bit of a pain. Use the laundry at your own peril. Cheapest in town though. Party at the other places.

This place is run by the rudest manager I have ever encountered. Website information did not match actual offerings of this place. The lady was very degrading when questioned about issues. Although the private room was not bad that we stayed in, we would NEVER return!
