Sea Point Hostel in Barcelona, Spain

They didn't have the a/c on the first night we were there and it was horribly suffocating in the rooms but the next two nights were so much better once the a/c was on. Its 10 seconds away from the beach... and walk distance to one of the most popular club in bercelona - opium. Very nice and helpful staffs. love their bulk beds... those heavy metal frames stick to the wall which keep those beds stay still and not making any noise when someone is climbing up and down - u wont wake up by someone who rolls all night on his/her bed!! Front desk was great. The other staff was horrible and extremely rude!! They are pushy and inconsiderate. I couldn't believe how badly they treated people. Every night I slept with insects and was bitten up and down my legs. The floors were never cleaned and the bathroom was always dirty. Tight corners in room shared by 8, however air conditioning was crisp cold-LOVELY after a day spent in the sun. GREAT LOCATION right by the beach and boardwalk. Francesco at the main desk was ESPECIALLY nice. Felt safe. sonia, from Italy ~ 13th Jul 2009

Sea point is a great place to stay. Even if you reservation for a seven person room becomes a nine person room...lol It didn't matter because everyone was nice. I love you Sea Point! A big shot out to the staff member from Poland! Your the best girl! Oh and a another shot out the guy with the African heritage the works at night. I love all of the staff. The bad: The directions given were not great. The address given was incomplete. This hostel is somewhat close to the barceloneta metro stop. Despite the signs all over the Hostel requesting complete silence after 11pm, it was extremely noisy most hours of the night. The Good: Staff was awesome. Location amazing(right on the beach/water). free breakfast. All rooms are ensuite with Hot water..... Despite the bad things mentioned, we enjoyed our stay at this hostel.
