  • Very cool atmosphere! The Seaside Guesthouse feels alot more like staying with friends than a hotel or hostel! Located in a residential part of the city, a few blocks from downtown, the house is full of friendly residents and staff eager to educate you on the happenings of Belize City and even show you around and hang out with you. An incredibly hospitable, fun, unforgettable experience; a great place to stay, especially if you're looking for something more exciting and authentic than a hotel.

  • The place is totally overpriced and the owner and bunch of guys who hang around the place all the time are trying to squeeze money from you with all kind of possible scams. The rooms are small and dirty, tv's and stereos are blasting loud from many rooms non-stop. The owner offers leftover food way to overpriced to its value and charges guests for anything she decides after the fact that you have already received the service. She asked us to pay the cook separately from the price of the meal.

  • We had a really bad experience the night we stayed in this guesthouse. The owner and his girlfriend (or wife or whatever she is) had arguments all night. She shouted and protested all night long until 4:30 AM.A nightmare!Police came and all!The most anoying person we ever met! On the other hand which kind of soften our sejour there, the manager (I think her name is Thelma) and the cook (which I saddly don't remember his name) were very pleasant and sympathique persons. It was nice meeting you!

Practically, Barcelona is a pretty easy city to navigate on foot or by public transport with a well laid-out grid system for the streets and a simple metro system. Here's an example of what you can do with 24 hours and a T10 (10 journey) metro ticket.
