The hostel did not have any written information in English about the city, things to see and do, etc., and the staff were not knowledgeable. All of the signs at the hostel were only in Hungarian.

For £5 a night this was a great place to stay. every bed has a huge locker (need to bring own lock) and a cheap vending machine. coffee was horrible, but the beds are comfy and the showers were good.

really weird place but totally awesome and huge if there are fun people. dorms are huge and spacious, like a school dorm. would definitely stay there again, great value for money

Hostel is OK. Just starting to equip the kitchen. Decent place to meet people with some large common room type areas, good transport links close and good walks down by the river etc.

After walking through the door you are greeted by a complete moron who gives a key and points to the ceiling. You then spend the next 10min trying to figure out where your room is and where the toilets are; where you are greeted by showerless curtains. Maybe on the third day, if you have found other people in the hostel, you will find out about the kitchen. Should be renamed the Fawlty Towers hostel, but i guess i had a good night sleep.

This is a good, cheap hostel. The lady on reception will tell you to be quite often. I met a lot of people here and had a lot of fun. You have to try a little Hungarian restaurant on a side road on the left as you walk from the metro station, just before the shopping centre. Its called St Jupas and for 1500HUF (£5) you get a huge plate of food that you can easily share between 2.

this place is creepy, its a girls school dorm during the year and has big echoey corridors, communial showers with no curtains, and in our room, a picture of a woman breastfeeding. staff were unhelpful and kept telling us to go to bed as if in school. location is good for buda but pest has a better atmosphere. there is no internet, and the kitchen is awful. "common room" is a library for the school girls which no1 uses, its creepy.

The description of the hostel and what was actually in it did not match up. The kitchen facilities were extremely poor and their was no internet unless you had a lab top. Though the staff were friendly they were incable with helping any of our inequiries.

Good for the price but really just a place to leave our bags and sleep. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Brilliant and cheap restuarant right beside the hostel.
