I saved money because it was so easy to get around from this location. The Metro is a skip away, and most of the sites I wanted to see are in easy (10-20 minute) walking distance. And, with an active "food street" next door, and the relaxing park seconds away, general life was extremely convenient. The bar in the hostel serves cold beer and hard stuff, both cheaper than anywhere else I have found western drinks in China. There's a pool table, a decent internet connection, and I cannot speak highly enough of the staff. I will stay again.

Staff was great and willing to help with anything. The common room/bar was a nice calm reprieve from the bustle of the city. The location is ideal, and even though they serve no food you are seconds away from Hunan Street's many restaurants. I will stay there again the next time I travel through Shanghai.

Thanks a lot for this great stay. The service was excellent and the people there were really nice and friendly. I recommend this Hostel. Next time I am in Shanghai I will stay there again.

I have sent a review before but to reiterate this place is great location for the Shanghai Musuem which is fantastic. The staff were very helpful with a problem we had. Wish they provided breakfast

Lovely hostel in an amazing location. Beds were comfortable, linen was clean, en suite shower was good. It was a little cold but other than that, I very much enjoyed my stay. Hostel is literally a 5 minute walk to People's Square, loads of shops and restaurants nearby. Staff were really helpful, despite not speaking English very well.

Internet didn't work. Atmosphere not super encouraging for people to meet and hang out. But staff REALLY nice and helpful.
