SH Soho International is a great hostel with an amazingly relaxed bohemian atmosphere. It covers all the basic needs at a good price, & then gives you extra entertainment you might not expect for the price - bar area, pool table, movies, free wifi. The staff are friendly & helpful, the location is brilliant, & the rooms are well kept. I have no negative comments to make. Enjoy your stay & enjoy Shanghai! Simon, from England ~ 24th Jan 2012

The price is perfect and what you get for this is completly fine. Nonetheless, the hygenic situation in my room was below international standard. I can recommend this hostel for all people with a limited budget, who want to enjoy Shanghai right at its heart. Marian Johannes, from Germany ~ 23rd Nov 2011

when i checked out, i did not understand why customer shuould return pillow cover to the counter and one of staff is inhospitable to customers. I've never seen a hostel so unkindly to customers, felt terribly uncomfortable when I eft this hostel.

Great little (well, it's actually big) hostel within walking distance of People's Square. Bathrooms are well maintained, although they could use some better locks and lighting. Beds are hard, but if you've been travelling around China then you're probably used to it. The internet got upgraded while we where there to include all rooms, which was excellent. Breakfast is good value at 25 kuai. The only wish I have is to change the locks on the security lockers, some did not work properly.

Good location. Private room with windows, but no chance to open them. Last day it rained, and the water came in. Davide, from Italy ~ 25th Aug 2011
