The bathroom was full of old towels, clothes and bottles & never removed the whole time i stayed there. the shower timers very short. The kitchen never clean even after lock out 11-2pm. There were no teatowels or paper towel provided and there wasn\'t even a dish draining rack. rooms were very clean. key cards annoying having to run to recpt. just provide lockers?

Moved to SINCLAIR HOSTEL-AVOID. 10-15 minutes away. Dirty. One bathroom for 40-50. Pubic Hair in the bins of the bathroom No loo seat on the girls cubicle. Shower scalded one of us and would not switch off Blood on the bed sheets. Stained ceilings. Poorly maintained - holes in the wall, bin liners for windows. Put all valuables into day sack and handed them in the morning an ipod was missing. Cannot say 100% it was in there before, but pretty certain it was

What really makes this hostel a place to stay are the people that work and stay there! It was a great stay and I would always stay there again. the only thing which would be nice to see changing is the kitchen.. which should get cleaned more often otherwise it is a great hostel for backpackers or those who are thinking of moving to Dublin as the people there really help if you need to get some information.

There seemed to be a real shortage of bathrooms. But appart from that it was really good.

A very small, crowded place, no facilities like internet, kitchen and you cannot even eat in the hostel. Under our window there was a broken air condition that produces noisy sounds.

Was dissapointed when I first arrived to find that hostel world overbooked the shinning hostel by 70 people. I was sent to another hostel which was terrible to say the least. The shinning hostel is great and they helped me out very quickly. I have booked in again for another night which I am hoping is just as good.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and great location. Unfortunately, very poor soundproofing (someone walking upstairs sounds like a bombing run), firealarms that go off randomly and a slight cockroach infestation in the kitchen (probably already dealt with)
