really cold in the house during the winter. nice staff, really close to airport, and pickup is a nice convenience.

Friendly staff, good breakfast, great airport pick-up! This hostel had okay accomodations, but there were a few downsides. The hostel is really really cold in the winter and they have no space heaters and not enough blankets. There were only 2 other guests in the hostel and one day there was no one on staff for about 4 hours, who are we supposed to go to for help or service? Also, the water was not turned on for the 2.5 days we were there, not the owner's fault, but really, we are paying for a bed and a shower aren't we? It's okay for the cheap price, but I've stayed in way better situations for the same money.

Not aiming it seems for any particular youthfullness athmosphere type, the place is clean, nice, pretty large with spacious bathroom and friendly staff, and very handy if you need to fly out of the OR Tambo airport or into it, they will give you a free lift. Not a good location to be spending your Joburg time, but the night befor ethe airport or after -- th egreatest. Free cereal, toast, tea/coffee, and a potential for a nice intelligent conversation with the manager. There is also a TV in the hall which shows news channels, the only one in african hostels I have seen.
