  • We arranged to be picked-up at the train station and they never showed up. We got there by bus at 7am and we couldnt check-in until 12.30 (check-in time at 12). There was no hot showers that day. Our room at the basement, where there is no toilets, so we had to go upstairs to use them, as well as Wi-fi connection. We stayed there 3 nights. Our last day there was no electricity, so no hot water, no wifi...on the other hand, staff is very nice and helpful and speak very good english.

  • This is the only hostel I have stayed at in Xi'an and I have been twice and will return in the summer of 2013 and this is where I will stay. I love this hostel and couldn't be happier! Xi'an is a great city and staying at a great hostel makes it even better!

  • Located right next to the city walls near the South Gate, Shuyuan is a nice option for the budget traveler to Xi'an. Hostel with its three courtyards looks very nice, although the rooms could use a bit more cleaning and updating (especially the almost never working air conditioning). There is a nice street food stall that opens up each night right in front of the hostel. Try the noodles and kebabs.

  • This is my second trip to this hostel. The last time, I stayed for three or four nights (can't remember for sure) and this time, only for one night. The hostel is still just as good. They have a decent party scene for those who like that kind of thing, but if you are more quiet like me, there are areas you can go to escape the action. I don't have many negative things to say about this hostel, it is one of the best hostels I have been to, and I have traveled extensively within China. Make sure you take a

Practically, Barcelona is a pretty easy city to navigate on foot or by public transport with a well laid-out grid system for the streets and a simple metro system. Here's an example of what you can do with 24 hours and a T10 (10 journey) metro ticket.
