One of the best hostels I've been in my life...

Our 6-bed room was way to hot and we didnt get any sleep the first night. We had a requested airport pick up and we confirmed the arrival time in 2 different email but the hostel managed to pick us up late anyway. Rest of the stay was great its a really good hostel with plenty of atmosphere!

Everything you would want in a hostel, particularly the knowledgeable and extremely helpful staff and the travel centre.

One of the best places I have lived in, and I have stayed in 6-star hotels before! I will want to keep returning to this cosy little place with such naturally friendly people. Thanks Sim!

Really nice place to stay. Easy to not do anything and hang around in room watching DVDs they have to borrow. Good food too.

Travel desk was brilliant, a special thanks to Jenny who arranged our Tibet permits/flights and everything else. Stayed for a week. Food excellent also!

To cut the crap...I considered giving max smileys on all 6 criteria just because of Sim himself. And his wife. They are the nicest, sincere, genuinely helpful and authentic hostel owners you will ever meet. The hostel is great value. The communal area, bar, restaurant could not have been done better. Especially taking into consideration this is just another uninspirational concrete building. It's worth it's name with all the wooden furniture and decoration. And there's even a mini outdoor gym ! Go meet Sim and you won't regret it.
