It was ok. Most of the staff were in routine of the hostel so they werent particually good. Just all the basics but nothing outstanding...infact most of them were quite cold. Seems like they maybe had to much to do such as washing etc so couldn't really focus on guests. They were all really treating it as just a job. Bar was ok...but I think I perfer a common area where we can bring our own drinks and meet people in a cool common area. Kitchen ok but small for 120 people. Bar in basement was fun and cheap (Czech Beer is awesome). Guy at desk is extremely helpful, gives a map and guide to city and tells you where to go. The location is a bit away from the main tourist sites, but near the northern train station, which is convenient after a long train ride. The tram stop right there too that will take you to the city center. The room was clean and pleasant enough, would stay here again. John, from USA ~ 7th Oct 2009

Awesome place to stay! The staff was amazing, when you check in they take the time to show you on your map how to get everywhere and which tram lines to take, very helpful! The bar was fun, cheap beer! The breakfast was good too! One of my favorite hostels ever! Adam, from Canada ~ 16th Jun 2009

Nice place with a fun atmosphere but it's outside the city and can be a pain to get to, especially at night. We got lost several times. Also, the staff was pretty rude. Other than that everything was great but I would recommend staying somewhere in the main city. Lydia, from USA ~ 8th Jun 2009

Sir Tobys hostel is far better than some of the hotels I have stayed at during my travels. The sheets were clean, the water was hot and the staff was friendly. The only drawback is the location. It is a few ways out of the core city. However this is also a benifit if you want a quiet stay. I WILL be staying at this hostel again. Thomas, from USA ~ 15th May 2009
