I think this is a no-risk, high quality hostel, one of the nicest hostels you'll ever find yourself in. The rooms and the courtyard are really attractive and the fellow who runs the place highly responsive and fun to be around. The hutong is really safe and interesting. The whole experience was pleasant. You must go to the Hot Pot restaurant around the corner. It grasps the new energy in China. And go to the park across the road. It captures something of China's past and habits. David, from Canada ~ 27th Jan 2012

Once you've found it, this is a great little place to stay in Beijing. The food was good and the location is great: a 30 minute walk to the entrance of the Forbidden City. They give you a great orientation of Beijing upon arrival and can arrange all your tourist needs. Paul, from Canada ~ 21st Nov 2011

Fabulous hostel.Centrally located, within walking distance of key tourist places (although the subway is a ways away).Really wonderful to actually stay in the Hutongs too.Has a quieter/older vibe, not your party place, which I thought was great. The tours were wonderful, and less expensive than what people paid at other hotels/hostels (from what I heard). The staff will make it very easy for you to get around Beijing, even if you do not speak English. But listen to their directions carefully and ma REBEKAH, from USA ~ 26th Nov 2011

We were very pleasantly surprised arriving at this hostel! It has a cosy set up, as all rooms come out to the courtyard which has a roof. The center of the yard has been designed with a Chinese Garden- concept. The rooms as well have a nice Chinese feeling to it. Staff is excellent and very helpfull: Hailing you a cab on the road isn't 2 much asked and u can use the bikes for free. Having free wifi, and 2 pc's is a pro as well Breakfast and dinner r very good, and well priced at 25 rmb Femke, from Netherlands ~ 10th Jun 2011
