The host, Karel is not only a human encyclopaedia on subject:"Belgium" to its' widest extent; furthermore, he posseses that rare gift of pin-pointing the essence of an ever so vaguely stated request of Yours, whithin the range from subject: "state of Belgium in general nowadays?" to "Now, where do I find a nice place to eat, and how do I get there from here?" This place is really great, Karel is a great host and we loved staying in a house for a change. The location out of the city is worth it, and the tram back and forth is no problem. Highly recommended! Kenneth, from USA ~ 4th Oct 2009

Karel was very helpful and his knowledge was really good for places to see and do. Cesar was nice and a good playmate. Karel helped 2 other travelers how had booking issues at other places and fixed it for them to stay, being a lifesaver. Great place to stay! Do realize that this is a private residence, so do not be worried when you walk into some guys house. I would suggest the 272 bus if coming from the airport- quite easy from there. I will miss hearing Karel play his piano and playing soccer with Ceasar during the rest of my trip! Cheers! The place was a little far out of the city center but the directions are very easy to follow. This hostel was among the best I've stayed at. Karel made me feel really welcome and he knows so much about the area, and can help the traveller find anything he/she wants to see. With sheets and breakfast included, it's a real deal.
