Smart Hyde Park View in London, England

I've stayed in over a dozen hostels and this was the first one I had to pay for a locker (way too small by the way), it's usually a key deposit, and I've never had to pay a 5% service charge when paying with a credit card (ripoff). The staff didn't really know anything about London, and acted like everyone was bothering them. The rooms were so blazing hot you couldn't breath at night. The pillows and blankets where nasty looking. I wouldn't stay here again for free. larry, from USA ~ 17th Nov 2009

Very nice staff, only 2 or 3 miles from the city of London. There are 2 underground station that are part of the central line of London. Recommended :-) Fava, from Italy ~ 8th Nov 2009

Only three things let this place down - 3 mornings on the trot there was no hot water for a shower, a lousy breakfast and pillows that had seen better days. Such a shame as it is well run, with friendly & helpful staff, with a nice, reasonably priced small cafe/bar, a great location and the 6 bed dorm had it's own en-suite. Nosotros hemos estado tres noches en una habitación de 6 literas y eramos tres parejas. Un poco pequeña con un baño dentro pero solo íbamos a dormir. El desayuno era sencillo pero suficiente para lo que vale la habitación por lo menos desayunas. Las literas un poco viejas pero es lo que hay cuando viajas a bajo precio. Una buena experiencia. Hostel and their workers were really good, they are polite and nice with you :) About hostel's politics just one complain cause they charge you for needed things such as lockets or for keeping your bags in the baggage room the day you are leaving... would be nice if they helped the customer with these kind of things. For the price is ok, you just have to be lucky with your roomies but is not hostel's issue.
