It's a pity.. it's a decent hostel in a decent location. But beware, it's the ONLY hostel that doesn't include VAT in their price that i've ever seen on here. That hit me for an extra 20 pounds or so and a ridiculous 20 pound key deposit. Never coming back here again until they change their dodgy practices.

The staff was extremely friendly, and apologetic for the large school groups staying there, which was no problem - they barely made a peer once inside the hostel. I booked a 6 bedroom with bath ensuite -- but for 2 nights I was the only person! The bathroom was big, clean, and recently renovated, with a real, functioning bathtub. There were extra blankets, but no heat in the room itself, just the building. Still, the location was near to Kensington Palace (across the street from the park), close to the TUBE (3-4 blocks) and around an area with many very good resturatns about 10-15 minute walk away.... I really enjoyed staying here and would defintely stay again.

For the price, it disappoints! Room very small for 6 beds (even if there was ensuite). Breakfast was poor- I didn't eat any due to smoke filling room from toaster and bare selection.

The shower curtain smelled horrible, but otherwise the property seemed pretty clean. The staff was fabulous. Racheal was a lot of help and very nice.

A really well located place to stay, good staff, with a cool bar inside with an amazing beer in it. I strongly recomend it.
