Solscape Eco Retreat in Catania, New Zealand

The weather was on the cold side when we stayed here, and the heater in our room was ineffective (most likely due to the vents in the ceiling).They recycle and compost almost everything, which is great, but then the computers in the lodge for internet access are constantly on (without going to sleep or shutting down at all), so that doesn't seem as eco as the rest of the hostel.There was no garbage can in our caboose, so we had to go to the main lodge to throw anything away.
