This hostel is not so bad but I already went in some other one really better than this one....Just as example: the access to internet is not free, you have to pay 5$ per hours. Also far away from the city center, around 30min by walk. And the bathroom are really not so clean...By the way, to stay only 2 nights, it's not so bad....but alone, it could be boring....

The location is pretty good only 20 minutes to city. Is a bit noisy in the night so if you are looking for a good night sleep forget about it. No too clean. The staff is friendly and helpfull and the other backpackers and quite nice as well.

Staff does their best to individually meet the needs of their guests. The free van service to CBD and back 10 minutes after the hour from 8am-&7pm was awesome. I only spend 1 night there as I was at the end of my stay in Au. I thought the varied nightly (optional) activities were a good idea and allowed the solo traveler to meet others of like interest if desired. I would recommend this place to others.

This is a great place, they have a shuttle into town, the staff are lovely, its relaxing, i've been watching dvds all day on the big screen tv.....great lounge and pool area! I love it here

Really a nice hostel! I stayed there 5 nights in a single room in August, I would choose this hostel again anytime! The room was average but ok. There are 3 showers and 2 showers which were quite clean and accessible at any time. The common room and the outside veranda are very nice, you can really do good cooking there and in the evenings it is really easy to get to know people, even if you are travelling on your own! But there won`t be too much party in the evenings, it`s more like drinking a beer together before some go out and some go to bed (many people who stayed there had to work next mornings). The fact that the hostel is not located downtown brisbane was no problem for me, because the staff brings you there hourly until 7 p.m. (shuttle bus). Sometimes I think they have BBQ there for only 5 dollars, but unfortunately I can`t tell you about that, I left on that day early in the morning :-( So, if you go to Brisbane you will not be dissapointed if you stay in the "Somewhere To Stay" hostel!
