This was my first time in a hostel and I had my doubts, but after my stay at South Beach Hostel I was very impressed. The price is very reasonable, especially for the area, the rooms and bathrooms were fine (not perfect but clean enough and well maintained), environment was fun with lots of people to talk to. A little noisy at night but I never had any problems falling asleep. They also give you ear plugs if want them. It's a place to go if you're looking to have fun and party. I would like only that the hostel could foment more parties and nights out... help the guests with clubs entries and transportation to them.. I liked the place, cleanliness, the breakfast and the location is very good. Oww, and they need more spoons and forks at the kitchen. I couldnt find them. Eduardo, from Brazil ~ 5th Apr 2012

Really loud! No chance to really relax and take a good night sleep. Check-in is super slow and very annoying (took me about 45 minutes to wait to check-in and there were only like 4 people before me). Breakfast was ok. Siret, from Estonia ~ 31st Mar 2012

I was traveling alone, so was a little wary at first, but everyone staying there was really awesome and legit. The security with key cards was excellent. Showers were generally very clean. You could tell a lot of the stuff was new. Their cleaning crew works seemingly nonstop. Breakfast was a very simple, bagels, fruit, watered down juice, but what do you need before lying on the beach all morning? Overall had an awesome time. The location of this hostel for the price cannot be beat!! justine, from USA ~ 30th Mar 2012

Staff was very friendly but the facilities were over priced -especially considering that the air conditioning unit in our 8 person dorm was broken for several days nightmare!!! The atmosphere of the hostel seemed cliqish. One person even said that if you are looking for a quiet and low key hostel to stay at South Beach hostel if you want fun and excitement, stay at Miami Hostel or International Travelers...guess I just picked the wrong one. It's a nice hostel very close to the beach, the location is really good. Staff is helpful, other guests are kind and friendly. Breakfast is good. Net usage is really expensive, don't understand why, should be for free. Rooms should be cleaned more effectively. Bathroom is good. Rita, from Hungary ~ 29th Feb 2012

I really liked this hostel. I´ve stayed in many in my day, and I thought South Beach hostel had an excellent value for the money, cool vibe, nice location and nice staff. I´m planning to come back to Miami in a few months and will stay here again! Kara, from USA ~ 7th Feb 2012

This hostel was pretty good but I was put in a mixed dorm and it was just me and one other guy. It would have been cool to have been bunked with a female or two for added diversity and atmosphere. Russell, from USA ~ 15th Feb 2012

This is so far the best stay I had in Miami. The location is excellent, just steps from the beach, near South Beach Point, Texas de Brazil, Miami Marina, shopping Mall with TJMaxx, Marshals, Publics and Best Buy, all within short walking distance (5-15 min walk). Bike rentals available. Internet is free for visitors with account, in the Miami Beach website (I guess this is only for US residents only, but not sure). Joao, from Brazil ~ 7th Jan 2012
