This is basic, reasonably priced budget accommodation, so it doesn't score really well but then it's just doing it's job. If they could keep the pub open later and encourage it's use by the hotel guests, that would be a start to improving the fun element. craig, from USA ~ 3rd Feb 2009

It is about 10 mins walk outside the city and is advertised as "city central". dont really care about their customers...we're only "backpackers" at d end of d day is d impression i got. its an old hotel transfered into a hostel and "hotel spencer" is still wrote on the outside of the building.
