Spicylaos Backpackers (Vang Vieng) in Queenstown, Laos

Its a little bit of a walk to get into town but the only reason that's a problem is because I'm incredibly lazy. Staff is great, atmosphere and social environment is great, easy to meet your new best friends as a solo traveler. Beds are not incredibly comfortable but I only pass out in them so it works. The dormitories are bamboo rooms with very basic facilities. Toilets and showers are demi-open cells outside the rooms. It's cheap and you can meet heaps of people easily but not the place to go if you look for cleanness and comfort. One thing I'd like to raise is that the staff called the bus company and cancelled our pickup just because we didn't book the bus ticket through him, which I thought was very evil.
