Excellent 'home from home' vibe with lots of tips, trips and staff in the know. Only minor quibble is that the location is a little out of the way, but this just makes it quiet and not really a problem. Andre, from England ~ 31st Oct 2009

Cosy environment in a quiet, safe & guarded neighborhood (3 mins motorbike ride into the city centre), located northwest of the old city. You can rent an auto moped for 200Baht/day. The dorm was spacious, bright & clean. Common area has lots of info & Adam the American staff gave useful info. Mr Noom the owner gave me a free ride into town on a rainy day. What this hostel lacks in facilities it makes up for in character and personality!! It was not the cleanest hostel I ever stayed in (kitchen / bathroom) but it is probably one of the most laid back and relaxed hostel atmospheres you can find. The staff were extremely helpful when I found myself stranded without a train ticket. They arranged for a bus and even had the ticket delivered. On the down side, it is a little ways from the central action in Chiang Mai but still only a short tuk-tuk ri Christa, from Canada ~ 26th Feb 2009

I loved this backpackers and would recommend it to anyone, I travelled alone and met heaps of lovely people here. Noom organised tours and activities for us everyday and the staff were very informative. thanks to all for making my trip so enjoyable Samantha, from Australia ~ 30th Nov 2008
