the room cleaners were definitely not cleaning, since there were dustbunnies everywhere and the sheets weren´t even changed from the previous people. the guy at the reception desk was a complete dic. definitely not going to go back.

Nice rooms and comfortable beds. Needs a slightly better equipped kitchen (cutlery, etc) and perhaps a common room of some sort? Apart from that, a very nice place to stay in a nice area of Paris for a good price.
this hostel was clean and fresh but the staff were abrupt at times, the communal area was cramped, and there was no room to put anything in the dorm rooms. also there was no safe or locker to put any valuables which was a minus. the hostel was in a good location for montmartre, but its a little bit far away from the main paris drag!!

It's small rooms and a 2am curfew were draw backs. But the room was very clean and the neighbourhood was good.

Lots of stairs to walk in order to get to this place. Yet it all worths. Montmartre is such a nice area to stay in. I would choose Square Caulaincourt again if I am visiting Paris again one day.

I had a very lovely time here. Merci!
The free breakfast was tasty, there was a TV in the room with many, many channels, the showers were clean and well tended, and the staff was VERY friendly (especially if you addressed them in French). I will say that I had the opportunity to stay in two different rooms at this hostel, and the one I was in for the first five nights was much more comfortable (4 beds) than the one I stayed in the last night (eight beds), no amenities. If you have a choice, go with the first option!
