St Christopher's Bauhaus Hostel in Bruges, Belgium

To be honest: I expected more. The hostel is just average. It's clean but the beds are very uncomfortable and it's extremely loud at night. I felt like sleeping in a disco... The location is good. The staff is friendly but not very familiar with the city and surroundings - so don't expect to get great local tipps. Breakfast was average, luggage storage and maps for free! stayed in a private room for 2 which was right near the bauhaus club. was a tad noisy and could hear people walking around and vacuuming until 2 or 3 in the morning. bar is great at night. excellent location! Kimberley, from Australia ~ 1st Nov 2009

In general we quite liked the hostel. The staff was partly very unfriendly, but others were very friendly. The room in which we slept was a bit disgusting, because it was dripping from the ceiling and there was a bit mildew on the walls. The showers were okay, the breakfast was very good.The toilets in the first floor were the same as from the bar. This was a bit strange, but they were clean. Was only here one night but I had fun, good place to meet ppl and its only a small town so anywhere would be a good location really.. but the bar and stuff cost abit so meet someone and head out. But good hostel. Luke, from New Zealand ~ 15th Oct 2009

The building was nice and it was really nice to have a bar and restaurant downstairs too. The rooms should have a table. The stairs and bathroom were really dirty. Joana, from Portugal ~ 6th Oct 2009

The place was really nice. Had a bar down stairs and a pub/restaurant connected next door (and u get a discount eating there if you're staying in their hostel), and the staff were really nice. The only real negative that i could say is the beds weren't the most comfortable, and the "bag room"is just left to the side of the bar-however staff are constantly around. claire, from Australia ~ 26th Sep 2009
