The restaurant and bar are really nice. Cons: - the breakfast was poor (just cheese and marmelade were served, they had hot water but no teabags) - the toilets are unisex, so they were often dirty and not cleaned everyday. just 4 toilets for 28 rooms! - it was very loud - the walls are very thin and you can hear anything happening on the floor. - our radiator was broken (it was on full speed all the time) - we had to go to the reception several times - at the end they just turned i Verena, from Germany ~ 5th Jan 2012

we were two families. Rented a twin room ensuite anda 3 bed private room for one night. Facilities in the twin room were excellent. The location of the hostel was ideal. The hostel offers a free walking tour. The staff was very friendly. It was a great deal in terms of value for money. Breakfast wasn't that great but one cant expect anything more for the money being paid. Very nice place! I recommend it! The only thing that I did not like was the breakfast, not for food but for cleanness of dishes, forks, knifes and cups! Nevertheless, the hostels is very good! Great hostel experience overall. Solid location (far from train, but close to city center), decent bar with decent food, clean rooms. The staff was very nice and friendly but failed to fix the broken outlets and reading lights in my or my friend's bunk. This was probably not helped by the fact that there appeared to be only 1 person running the actual hostel (not the bar), and she seemed overworked (albeit friendly, helpful, and nice). The lobby made the place look great as did the bar and restaurant.However, the room was rough.The sheets were stained with who knows what and the bathroom/shower did not look cleaned at all.We had hair in the drain and who knows what else.Also, while trying to sleep, we could hear the bar patrons yelling and then one person got drunk/ill and vomited multiple times outside our door.Not the best place we've stayed.
