Location was great and staff too but the linen was dirty. Juan, from Spain ~ 12th Oct 2009

Nice enough place, absolutely perfect location. We stayed on the top floor with a gorgeous sea view and didn't hear a peep from the bar downstairs. The rooms do need some updating though - only one socket in our room worked, some windows wouldn't open, other wouldn't close, the only setting on the shower was 'boiling', the floor was lopsided... The building looks in general pretty shabby condition but is perfectly serviceable. It wouldn't be a bad idea to update your staff on the parking regulat Ciara, from Belgium ~ 9th Sep 2009

You can't get much closer to the bus station or the beach than this one!! Right above a pub, so probably not ideal if you want a quiet night. The free breakfast included cereal AS WELL AS toast... never seen that in a hostel before! Fiona, from Australia ~ 7th Sep 2009

The hostel was alright, I enjoyed the people in my dorm room. However, there were some issues. We had to share one bathroom for eight people, which was not ideal. The cleaning lady used Febreeze to clean the sink and needless to say, the bathroom was disgusting. Also, some of the cages to lock personal items were broken so not all of us could protect our stuff. The keycards didn't always work. Carmen, from USA ~ 5th Jun 2009

A great place to stay. However our rooms were on the 1st floor and were very noisey - especially on saturday night when the music from downstairs went on 'til 2am. Apart from that everything was great. Would stay here again. Thanks! Julia, from England ~ 27th Apr 2009

The concept of hotels converted to hostels results in in-suite showers that are constantly occupied and in lack of places to socialize (the pub below is open to anyone and you never know who is a fellow backpacker and who is a stranger...) Yet the city is Brighton and it more than compensates all that. Dmitrii, from Russia ~ 7th Apr 2009
