Our stay at the St. Christopher's was wonderful! The location was perfect. Staff lovely and friendly, we felt almost like home. Especially big thanks to Jess, Tom and the girl with short dark hair and a pink earring. Would you like to stay at a hostel in Brighton, there is no better alternative than St. Christopher! My first hostel.It was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the guests were friendly as well.I wasn't really in the mood to party while I was here, so it was a little difficult to sleep with roommates coming in and out, etc., but I had earplugs so I was fine.Breakfast was just coffee, milk, toast and various spreads (butter, jam, etc).Prime location right on road that runs along the beach, 2 min walk from the pier.Lockers under the bed bring your own padlock! This is one of the worst hostels ive ever stayed in - gross and dirty! But the worst thing was that the music from the nightclub downstairs blasts until 2am. The floorboards in my room were vibrating! That's fine if you want to party, but not if you want to get some sleep!! I was so grumpy in the mornings. I feel like I got robbed!! Cant believe I actually paid to stay there!!
Hi thanks for your feedback. I'm shocked at your comments to be honest, as my staff work very hard to maintain the highest standards in our hostel. As for the noise, we understand that there is some sound leakage to some of the rooms on the first floor and for that reason we offer free earplugs at reception. We actively market ourselves as a party hostel and this is what we do very well, and I'm sure had you been in a mood to party your view of your stay would have been more positive. Everything went easy and well, excellent location, friendly staff, all good. it was my first time in a dorm lol...the only thing I noticed it was about the towels, they don't provide them in the room, so you have to order in the reception and there was none when I ordered, my salvation was i had a small one from the sleeper train of previous day... alberto, from Portugal ~ 5th Jul 2011
