  • Horrid hostel, horrid staff. The best thing was clean bedding. The front staff were rude, not helpful and seemed like they hated life. The bathroom in the room was small, right near someone's head, loud, the roof was caving in, shower was dirty, no soap or hand soap in bathroom. No kitchen, you say your a hotel but seeing how multiple strangers sleep in the same room I would determine that's a lie. Treat your place like a hostel and maybe it would be a nicer place.

  • Helpful staff and good atmosphere. There isn't a dedicated eating area so breakfast is served in carry bags to the room. One of the hallways reeks of mould, so the carpet needs dry cleaning if not replacing.

  • Do not stay in this hostel. The smell in the bathroom was unbearable.

  • Broken toilet and no cold water, moved to another room, no Internet the whole time. No offer of refund of any kind

  • I wouldn't consider this a hostel - it is a budget hotel. Very, very budget. A chair in the room and seating in the lobby would be great as there was no place to sit aside from atop my top bunk. I was reassigned from a 6 bed dorm to a 2 bed dorm without my consent which was a bit awkward, and apparently my room was one of two in the building that did not have an ensuite shower. In all the place was fine, and breakfast (Rice Krispies, milk, juice) was a nice surprise. Great proximity to the metro

While most party-hard backpackers in Europe stick to the big cities like Paris, London and Barcelona, you might end up cutting your nights (or even your trip) short. These cities come at a cost and just one cocktail can run upwards of $15. Luckily there are so many other beautiful cities around Europe which offer an exciting nightlife at half or even a third of the cost.
