This is pretty much the best hostel I have stayed in. The Winston is a great place for a drink and the food (especially the half roasted chicken) is really good and not overly expensive with the discount you get as a border. There are also plenty of two for one deals on drinks. The provided breakfast is excellent, with three types of cereal, lots of different types of bread, meat, cheese, yoghurt, juice and more, on offer. A very central, fun hostel (train station is minutes away). Facilities are good: comfortable beds, en-suite showers/ toilets & great breakfast. Only downside with dorm rooms is no AC: the main windows dont open with just a fan which only re-circulates the stuffiness caused from 8 people in 1 room. Your average youth hostel, smack in the middle of Red Light district. Perfect for a party weekend in AmDam. Very loud music in reseptionarea, and from the bar at night. Clean room. staff was nice enough, but not overly helpful. comfortable beds and awesome bar in the hostel. we brought everyone to our place since there were such great drink specials. stayed on same floor as the bar and didn't have a problem with the noise either. i would definitely stay here again. laura, from USA ~ 20th Sep 2009

Very good value for money! The location is excellent. The rooms are tiny, but clean and each one is designed individually. I loved the artsy touch. Furthermore, you get a decent breakfast. I stayed on the second floor, which was very quiet. I'm not sure though, if it would be noisy on the first floor, because of the bar, situated right underneath. This is worst hostel in the World. Somebody Stole my Laptop - with very important documents - in the Luggage store. But what is strange about it is that there is a camera in the fucking place and the members of the Staff are the only people that have the key to open the door of the luggage store. What is more strange than this, is that when had told them that my LapTop was stole, they started to laugh. They also try to create a situation, saying that I WAS NOT STAYING IN THE HOSTEL.Take care.
